Yamaha YBR 125G Price in Pakistan 2026 + Buyer's Guide

Last updated: 20 October 2026
Quick answer: The Yamaha YBR 125G price in Pakistan was last officially set at Rs 490,500 for the Metallic Black and Rs 493,500 for the Matt finish, effective 1 July 2025 (ProPakistani, TechJuice). Yamaha stopped making motorcycles in Pakistan in September 2025, so there is no newer factory price.
Two months later, on 9 September 2025, Yamaha Motor Pakistan announced in a signed letter to customers that it would stop manufacturing motorcycles in Pakistan. It promised to keep supplying spare parts through its authorised dealers and to honour the existing warranty scheme. So in October 2026 there is no fresh factory price list. If you want a YBR 125G today, you are mostly buying from leftover dealer stock or, far more often, on the used market. This guide shows the last official prices, what the "Rs 485,000" figure you see online really is, full specs, real fuel average, used prices and what owning one costs.
Key takeaways
- Last official prices (from 1 July 2025): YBR 125G Metallic Black Rs 490,500 · YBR 125G Matt Rs 493,500 · YBR 125 Rs 471,500 · YB 125Z-DX Rs 459,500 · YB 125Z Rs 429,000.
- The Rs 485,000 figure that many sites still show is the YBR 125G price from before the July 2025 increase.
- Production ended: Yamaha Motor Pakistan announced on 9 September 2025 that it would discontinue motorcycle manufacturing. Parts and warranty support were promised through authorised dealers.
- Used market: PakWheels had 393 YBR 125G ads on 3 October 2026, with asking prices from about Rs 2.5 lakh (2017) to Rs 4.5 lakh (2024).
- Fuel average: Yamaha Pakistan never published a km/l figure. PakWheels lists 45 km/l; owners report roughly 35 to 50 km/l.
- All four Yamahas: our Yamaha bikes price in Pakistan guide covers the YB 125Z, YB 125Z-DX, YBR 125 and YBR 125G together.
- Yamaha YBR 150: we found no evidence that Yamaha Pakistan ever sold one. Its last line-up was four 125cc bikes.
Written by Rooh Ullah of Bike Markaz: we sell motorcycle helmets, accessories, spare parts and oils online, with nationwide courier delivery and cash on delivery. We do not sell motorcycles.
Disclaimer: Yamaha Motor Pakistan's website (yamaha-motor.com.pk) did not load when we checked on 3 October 2026, so the official prices and specifications below come from archived copies of its pages and from news reports, all linked. Dealer and used prices change daily. Always confirm the price, the paperwork and the warranty status with the seller before you pay, and follow your owner's manual for maintenance.
Yamaha YBR 125G Price in Pakistan (Last Official List)
These are the last prices Yamaha Motor Pakistan announced, effective 1 July 2025, after the federal budget added a New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy. We have found no newer official list. The table also shows the June 2025 prices, because those are the figures many price websites still display.
| Model / variant | Colours | June 2025 price | Last official price (from 1 July 2025) |
|---|---|---|---|
| YBR 125G (Metallic) | Metallic Black, Metallic Yellow | Rs 485,000 | Rs 490,500 |
| YBR 125G (Matt) | Matt Dark Grey (Matt Orange was also sold) | Rs 488,000 | Rs 493,500 |
| YBR 125 | Red, Grey, Black | Rs 466,000 | Rs 471,500 |
| YB 125Z-DX | Red, Black, Grey | Rs 454,000 | Rs 459,500 |
| YB 125Z | Red, Black | Rs 424,000 | Rs 429,000 |
Sources: July 2025 prices from ProPakistani and TechJuice; June 2025 prices from Pakistan Observer; the Matt June 2025 price from PK Revenue. Ex-factory prices; registration, number plate and token tax are extra. ProPakistani notes the YB 125Z price included Rs 65,441 in sales tax and Rs 4,057 in NEV levy.
Why sites disagree. PakWheels and several other price pages still show Rs 485,000 for the YBR 125G and Rs 466,000 for the YBR 125. Those are the June 2025 prices. PriceOye shows Rs 490,500, which matches the July 2025 list. Neither figure is a 2026 factory price, because there has been no factory production since Yamaha's announcement.
Metallic Yellow pricing. The July 2025 reports priced the "Black" and the "Matt" YBR 125G separately and did not name the Metallic Yellow. Yellow is a metallic paint, so it most likely followed the Metallic Black price, but we could not confirm that from an official source. Ask the dealer.
What to expect if a dealer still has a new one. Leftover new stock can be priced above or below the last list price, depending on how long it has been sitting. Ask for the invoice date, check that the engine and chassis numbers match the sales documents, and ask in writing who will honour the warranty (see the warranty section below).
Yamaha Stopped Making Motorcycles in Pakistan: What It Means for You
On 9 September 2025, Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Private) Limited, based in Bin Qasim Industrial Park, Karachi, published a letter signed by its managing director. It said that "due to a change in our business policy" the company would discontinue manufacturing motorcycles. The same letter promised two things:
- Spare parts would be supplied through YMPK-authorised dealers, with stock secured for customers' needs.
- Warranty services and customer support would continue under the existing warranty scheme.
The letter is still available as a PDF from Yamaha's own server (we read the Internet Archive copy, as the live site is down), and it was reported the same day by ProPakistani, Profit and Daily Pakistan.
PakWheels' analysis of the exit puts it in context. Yamaha's market share fell from about 1.5% in 2015 to 0.41% in 2025. Its best year was FY 2018–19, with 23,610 bikes sold. It sold only 5,709 in its final year. Premium pricing in a price-sensitive market, a small line-up and Honda's dominance are the main reasons PakWheels gives.
What this means in practice:
- New YBR 125G bikes are no longer being made. A PakWheels comparison from February 2026 describes new YBR purchases as unavailable and treats the YBR as a used-market bike.
- Parts still come through dealers, but PakWheels notes that some YBR parts cost more than CG 125 parts (it quotes about Rs 6,000 for a headlight and Rs 6,500 for a speedometer). Wear parts such as chains, brake pads, filters and spark plugs are less of a worry, because good aftermarket equivalents exist.
- The official website is down. When we tried yamaha-motor.com.pk on 3 October 2026 it did not load, and the most recent archive copy (June 2026) shows only a blank web-server page. The contact details in the letter were an email address and WhatsApp number 0314-8899786. We have not tested whether they still answer.

What we could not confirm: whether Yamaha or its dealers set any official clearance price for remaining stock after September 2025. We found no such notice. If a seller claims an "official 2026 price", ask them to show where it comes from.
YBR 125G Colours and Variants

Yamaha Pakistan's last YBR 125G flyer (September 2024) lists three colours: Metallic Yellow, Matt Dark Gray and Metallic Black. The yellow came with a Markhor-inspired graphic. A January 2025 installment report also lists a Matt Orange. On the used market you will also find older colours and sticker designs from earlier model years.
Mechanically, every YBR 125G colour is the same bike. The only price difference was Rs 3,000 for the matt paint (Rs 493,500 vs Rs 490,500). Matt paint looks great but needs gentler care. Don't polish it with ordinary wax or rubbing compound, which can leave shiny patches. A plain wash and a cleaner whose label says it is safe for matt finishes are enough.
Yamaha YBR 125 Price in Pakistan (Non-G) and YBR 125 vs 125G
The plain YBR 125 was last listed at Rs 471,500 on 1 July 2025, Rs 19,000 under the 125G. The G is the dual-purpose styled version of the YBR 125, the one people call the "Yamaha YBR G". Both share the same 124cc engine, 5-speed gearbox, 13-litre tank, front disc brake and self-start. The differences, from Yamaha's own YBR125G and YBR125 specification pages (archived) and the 2024 flyer:
| YBR 125 | YBR 125G | |
|---|---|---|
| Last official price | Rs 471,500 | Rs 490,500 / Rs 493,500 (Matt) |
| Front tyre | 2.75-18 42P | 3.00-18 47P, block pattern |
| Rear tyre | 90/90-18 51S | 90/90-18 57P, block pattern |
| Seat height | 775 mm | 785 mm |
| Overall length | 1,975 mm | 1,990 mm |
| Wheelbase | 1,285 mm | 1,295 mm |
| Dry weight | 114 kg | 113 kg |
| Styling | Street, sporty | Dual-purpose look: double front fender, rubber fork boots |
| Rear suspension | Swing arm, oil damper | Swing arm, oil damper, 5-level adjustable (per flyer) |
Which is better? For smooth city roads, the YBR 125's street tyres feel slightly lighter and quieter. For broken roads, village tracks and gravel, the 125G's wider block-pattern tyres and adjustable rear shocks make more sense. On the used market the gap is usually small, so choose by condition, not by badge.
Yamaha YBR 125G Specifications
Official figures are from Yamaha Pakistan's YBR125G specification page (archived) and 2024 flyer. Yamaha Pakistan did not publish power, torque, top speed or fuel average, so those rows come from PakWheels and are marked as unofficial.
| Specification | Yamaha YBR 125G |
|---|---|
| Engine | 4-stroke, air-cooled, SOHC, with balancer |
| Displacement | 124 cc |
| Bore × stroke | 54.0 × 54.0 mm |
| Compression ratio | 10:1 |
| Power | 9.9 hp @ 7,800 rpm (PakWheels, not official) |
| Torque | 9.5 Nm @ 6,500 rpm (PakWheels, not official) |
| Carburettor | CV type |
| Starting | Electric start + kick start |
| Transmission | 5-speed constant mesh |
| Ignition | 12V DC-CDI |
| Fuel tank | 13.0 litres |
| Length × width × height | 1,990 × 745 × 1,080 mm |
| Seat height | 785 mm |
| Wheelbase | 1,295 mm |
| Ground clearance | 145 mm |
| Dry weight | 113 kg |
| Front brake | Single disc |
| Rear brake | Drum |
| Wheels | Cast (alloy) |
| Front tyre | 3.00-18 47P |
| Rear tyre | 90/90-18 57P |

| Rear suspension | Swing arm, coil spring, oil damper |
| Headlight | 12V 35W/35W halogen (HS1) |
| Instruments | Fuel gauge, gear position indicator, trip meter |
A note on conflicting numbers. Some websites list a 775 mm seat height or 10.7 hp for the YBR 125G. Yamaha's own spec sheet and flyer say 785 mm, which is what we use. 775 mm is the plain YBR 125's figure. Power figures were never published by Yamaha Pakistan, so treat any hp number as an estimate.
Tyre size tip: both tyres are 18-inch. The front is 3.00-18 and the rear 90/90-18, both tube-type on the factory bike. Take a photo of your sidewall to the tyre shop so you get the right sizes and load ratings.
Yamaha YBR 125G Fuel Average (Claimed vs Real World)
Yamaha Pakistan never published an official km/l figure for the YBR 125G. Its flyer only says "fuel efficient CV type carburetor". Here is what other sources say:
| Source | Yamaha YBR 125G fuel average | Type |
|---|---|---|
| PakWheels spec page | 45 km/l | Listed figure, not a test |
| PakWheels CG 125 vs YBR 125 (Feb 2026) | 45–50 km/l | Editorial estimate |
| PakWheels owner reviews | 30–50 km/l (most around 35–45) | Owner reports |
Our reading: plan on about 40 km/l for mixed city riding, more on a steady highway run and less in heavy traffic or with a pillion. With a 13-litre tank, that is roughly 450–550 km between fill-ups, which is one of the YBR's real strengths. The Yamaha YBR 125 fuel average is in the same range, because it has the same engine and gearing.
What pulls your fuel average down:
- Hard acceleration and high revs. The engine is happiest in 4th and 5th at moderate speed.
- Low tyre pressure. Yamaha's maintenance chart gives 25 psi front and 29 psi rear. Check them cold, every week.
- A dry or over-tight chain, a clogged air filter or a dragging rear brake.
- A rich or badly tuned carburettor. If the plug is sooty black and the exhaust smells of petrol, have the carb checked.
- A pillion and luggage. Expect a few km/l less.
How to measure your own average: fill the tank to the brim, reset the trip meter, ride normally, fill to the brim again, and divide kilometres by litres. Do it over two or three tanks. To estimate fuel cost, divide the distance you ride each month by your km/l to get litres, then multiply by the current petrol price. At 40 km/l, 1,000 km uses about 25 litres.
Yamaha YBR 125G Installment Plans
Plans from banks and dealers were common while the bike was in production. Here is what was reported, with our arithmetic:
| Report | Variant | Down payment | Monthly × months | Total paid | Cash price then |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Daily Magazine, 3 Jan 2025 ("zero markup") | YBR 125G Black | Rs 121,250 (+ Rs 1,800 fee) | Rs 16,455 × 36 | Rs 713,630 + fee | Rs 485,000 |
| Same | YBR 125G Matt | Rs 122,000 (+ Rs 1,800 fee) | Rs 16,556 × 36 | Rs 718,016 + fee | Rs 488,000 |
| Same | YBR 125 | Rs 116,500 (+ Rs 1,800 fee) | Rs 15,810 × 36 | Rs 685,660 + fee | Rs 466,000 |
| Pakistan Observer, 2025 | YBR 125G (30% down) | Rs 145,500 (+ Rs 1,800 fee) | Rs 15,358 × 36 | Rs 698,388 + fee | Rs 485,000 |
Read the fine print. The January 2025 plans were reported as "zero markup", but down payment plus 36 instalments comes to about Rs 2.3 lakh more than the cash price. Neither report named the bank. We can't tell whether the figures were wrong, included insurance and other charges, or simply were not zero markup. Compare that with Pak Suzuki's April 2026 GSX 125 plan, reported by ProPakistani: Rs 126,225 down and instalments that add up to exactly the Rs 504,900 cash price. That one really is zero markup.
In 2026: with production ended, we found no current Yamaha YBR 125 installment plan from Yamaha or a bank. If a dealer offers one on leftover stock, ask:
- Which bank or company is financing it, and is there a written agreement?
- What is the total amount payable, including processing fee, FED, insurance and registration?
- What are the charges for late payment and early settlement?
- Who keeps the original file and registration until the last instalment?
Most bank bike-financing schemes are for new motorcycles, so a used YBR is usually a cash purchase. If you need credit for a used bike, get the terms in writing and never pay a "booking" amount to someone you met online.
Suzuki GSX 125 vs Yamaha YBR 125 vs Honda CG 125

These are the 125s most buyers compare. Honda prices are from Atlas Honda's official site (September 2026, see our Honda CG 125 price guide). The Suzuki price and specs are from PakWheels; Pak Suzuki's official prices for the GSX 125 and the rest of its range are in our Suzuki 150 price in Pakistan guide, and if you are weighing a used YBR 125G against a new 150, our Suzuki GR 150 price guide compares the two directly. The Yamaha price is the last official list.
| Yamaha YBR 125G | Honda CG 125 / CG 125S | Suzuki GSX 125 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Rs 490,500 (last official, July 2025; new production ended) | Rs 238,500 / Rs 286,900 (Atlas Honda) | Rs 504,900 (PakWheels) |
| Engine | 124cc SOHC, air-cooled | 124cc OHV, air-cooled | 125cc, air-cooled |
| Power (listed) | 9.9 hp (unofficial) | 11.0 hp (unofficial) | 10.5 hp (PakWheels) |

Suzuki GSX 125 vs Yamaha YBR 125: how to choose
- Choose the Suzuki GSX 125 if you want a new bike with a disc brake, self-start, a bigger tank and a manufacturer still selling and backing it, plus a zero-markup plan. It costs a little more than the YBR's last price and is heavier.
- Choose a used YBR 125 or 125G if you find a clean, low-mileage bike with complete papers at a fair price. You get a refined engine with a balancer, a disc brake and a 13-litre tank for well under the price of a new GSX. Before you buy, accept that some body and electrical parts may become harder to find in smaller towns over the years.
- Choose the Honda CG 125 if the budget is tight and you want the cheapest parts and the most mechanics who know the bike. You give up the disc brake, the 5th gear (on the kick model) and refinement.
For Honda's 150cc option, see the Honda CG 150 price guide. For a lighter, cheaper commuter, see the Honda CD 70 price guide.
Yamaha YBR 150 and YBR 100: Do They Exist in Pakistan?
Yamaha YBR 150 price in Pakistan: many people search for it, but we found no evidence that Yamaha Motor Pakistan ever sold a YBR 150. Its official products menu in December 2025 (archived) listed only four bikes: YBR125, YBR125G, YB125Z-DX and YB125Z. The PakWheels list of Yamaha models names the same four as Yamaha's recent models. PakWheels does have a YBR 150 page showing Rs 400,000, but we could not find an official Yamaha Pakistan launch or price behind it. Yamaha sells 150cc YBR-family bikes in other countries, so any YBR 150 you see here would be an unofficial import. Treat it with care: check the customs papers, registration and parts supply before you buy.
Yamaha YBR 100 price in Pakistan: there was no YBR 100 in Pakistan either. The 100cc Yamaha older buyers remember is the Royale YB 100 from the Dawood Yamaha era, which PakWheels lists as discontinued at Rs 67,500. That is an old price, not a current one. Anything you find today will be a decades-old used bike.
Used Yamaha YBR 125G Prices in Pakistan (October 2026)
With no new production, the used market is where most YBR 125G deals happen now. On 3 October 2026, PakWheels listed 393 YBR 125G ads. A sample of asking prices from the first page:
| Model year | Asking price | Mileage | City |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2017 | Rs 250,000 | 25,000 km | Karachi |
| 2018 | Rs 290,000 | 55,000 km | Rawalpindi |
| 2021 | Rs 299,999 | 45,000 km | Lahore |
| 2022 | Rs 310,000 | 34,800 km | Karachi |
| 2023 | Rs 330,000 – 380,000 | 2,000 – 41,950 km | Lahore, Rawalpindi |
| 2024 | Rs 410,000 – 450,000 | 25,000 – 29,000 km | Islamabad, Lahore |
These are sellers' asking prices, not sale prices. Expect to negotiate, and expect prices to vary by city, colour and condition.
How to judge a fair price:
- Start from the bike's condition and papers, not its model year. A 2022 bike with 15,000 km and a full service record is worth more than a 2024 bike that has been thrashed.
- Compare at least five similar ads (same year, similar mileage, your city) before you make an offer.
- Deduct the cost of anything it needs now: tyres, chain kit, brake pads, battery or a service. Those are easy to price (see the next section).
- Some PakWheels reviewers complain about the YBR's resale value. That works in a used buyer's favour.
Used YBR 125G Buyer's Checklist
Go through this in daylight, with a friend and ideally a mechanic who knows Yamahas.
Paperwork:
- Match the chassis and engine numbers on the bike with the registration book or smart card. Walk away if there are grinding marks, fresh paint or re-punched digits.
- Verify the registration with your provincial Excise & Taxation vehicle verification service, and match the owner's name with the seller's CNIC (or get a signed transfer letter and CNIC copy).
- Check that token tax is paid, and ask for the original sales invoice, warranty book and service record.
Engine and mechanics:
- Start it cold. It should start on the button and settle to a steady idle.
- Listen for a rattle from the top of the engine that does not go away as it warms up. That can be a worn cam chain (timing chain), which some owners report.
- Check for smoke. Blue smoke after warm-up means the engine is burning oil.
- Test the clutch in 4th gear from low speed. If the revs rise but the bike doesn't pull, the clutch is slipping.
- Check every gear and the neutral light, the fuel gauge and the gear indicator.
Chassis and safety:
- Front disc brake: the lever should feel firm, not spongy. Check pad thickness and the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
- Chain and sprockets: hooked sprocket teeth or a chain that lifts off the rear sprocket mean you need a new kit.
- Forks and shocks: look for oil on the fork tubes and check the rubber fork boots are not torn.
- Tyres: the 125G's block tyres wear faster on tarmac. Check the tread depth and look for cracks.
- Electrics: headlight high/low, indicators, horn, brake light, and a battery that cranks strongly.
Yamaha YBR 125G Maintenance Schedule and Running Costs

Yamaha Pakistan published a maintenance schedule for the YBR125 and YBR125G (archived). It sets service checks at 1,000, 3,000, 6,000, 9,000, 12,000, 15,000 and 18,000 km, then repeats every 3,000 km after 18,000 km. The 2024 flyer advertised 5 free services up to 12,000 km. The key items from Yamaha's chart:
| Item | What Yamaha's chart says |
|---|---|
| Engine oil | Change at every service point (1,000 km, then 3,000, 6,000 km and so on); Yamaha specifies Yamalube |
| Drive chain | Check slack and lubricate every 500 km, and after washing or riding in rain |
| Tyre pressure | 25 psi front, 29 psi rear |
| Air filter | Clean at service points (more often in dust); replace every 12,000 km |
| Spark plug | Check and clean; replace every 12,000 km |
| Front brake fluid | Replace every 2 years |
| Brake hose | Replace every 4 years |
| Brake pads / shoes | Replace when worn to the limit |
| Valves | Check and adjust clearance from 3,000 km |
| Carburettor | Check choke, adjust idle, clean if needed |
| Battery | Check electrolyte level and breather hose |
Which engine oil for the Yamaha YBR 125G?
Yamaha's Pakistani chart simply says "use Yamalube". Yamaha Pakistan described its Yamalube Plus as a semi-synthetic 10W-40, JASO MA2 oil in its own article. The YBR125 owner's manual specifications we found (an export edition, not the Pakistani handbook) list SAE 10W-30, 10W-40, 15W-40, 20W-40 or 20W-50, API SG or higher, JASO MA, with 1.0 litre per periodic oil change. We could not get a copy of the Pakistani YBR 125G owner's manual to confirm its exact list, so check the one that came with your bike.
What that means in a Pakistani garage:
- Use a motorcycle oil rated JASO MA or MA2, never car oil. Car oils can make the wet clutch slip.
- 10W-40 is the safe all-season choice and what Yamalube Plus used. 20W-40 or 20W-50 suit hot summers and older, higher-mileage engines.
- Buy 1 litre and top up to the mark with the bike upright. Don't overfill.
- Warranty: Yamaha's warranty rules required genuine parts and Yamalube during the warranty period. If your bike is still under warranty, keep to Yamalube and keep the receipts.
Out of warranty, JASO-rated oils from our engine oil range that match the grades above include Suzuki Ecstar R5000 10W-40, 1 L (API SG, JASO MA2, Rs 1,850), Caltex Havoline 4T 20W-40, 1 L (API SG, JASO MA2, Rs 1,290), Kixx MX7 4T 20W-50, 1 L (API SL, JASO MA2, Rs 1,450) and Caltex Havoline Super 4T 20W-50, 1 L (API SN, JASO MA2, Rs 1,520). Our bike engine oil guide explains grades and JASO ratings in more detail.
Wear parts and what they cost
The YBR 125G's routine parts are not exotic. What to budget for, and where to look:
- Chain and sprockets: clean and lube every 500 km, as Yamaha says. Replace the chain and both sprockets together when the sprocket teeth are hooked or the chain has stretched past its adjustment.
- Front brake pads and fluid: unlike a CG 125, the YBR has a disc up front. Pads wear faster in city traffic, and Yamaha asks for fresh fluid every 2 years. Use the brake fluid grade printed on the reservoir cap. We sell King disc brake pads for the YBR 125 at Rs 1,000; send us a photo of your old pads first and we check the shape.
- Air filter: replace every 12,000 km, sooner on dusty roads. See air and oil filters.
- Spark plug: replace every 12,000 km with the code printed on your old plug or in your manual.
- Body and electrical parts (headlight, speedometer, tank, side panels) are where Yamaha's exit hurts most. PakWheels quotes about Rs 6,000 for a YBR headlight and Rs 6,500 for a speedometer. Ask your nearest Yamaha dealer about stock before you need the part.

Warranty after Yamaha's exit
Yamaha Pakistan's warranty rules (archived) offered:
- Engine: 3 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first (the muffler and carburettor are not covered).
- Frame and body: 1 year or 12,000 km.
- Battery and tyres: 6 months from purchase.
- Only the first owner can claim, the bike must be serviced at authorised dealers with genuine parts and Yamalube, and the odometer must be working and untouched.
The September 2025 letter said warranty services would continue "following the existing warranty scheme". In practice, a bike sold new in mid-2025 could still be inside its 3-year engine warranty in 2026. If you buy used, the warranty does not transfer to you. If you are the first owner, keep your warranty book stamped and call your dealer to confirm they still process claims.
What Are the Common Yamaha YBR 125G Problems?
Based on owner reviews on PakWheels and the bike's design, these are the issues worth knowing about:
- Engine noise on cold start / cam chain rattle. Some 2021 owners report a knocking or "timing chain" sound. A short rattle at cold start can be normal; a constant one needs a mechanic to check the cam chain tensioner. Fresh oil at the right interval helps.
- Oil consumption. One owner reported losing about 100 ml in 500 km. Check the oil level every week or two, and investigate if it keeps dropping.
- Paint durability. Some owners complain the paint marks easily. A bike cover helps if you park outdoors, and matt paint needs matt-safe cleaners.
- Comfort on long trips. Some riders find the seat less comfortable than rivals' on long journeys. Take breaks every hour or so.
- Price, resale and parts after the exit. The common complaints were the high new price and weak resale. Since September 2025, the bigger question is the long-term supply of Yamaha-only parts. Wear items are easy; panels, meters and lights may not be.
- Block tyres on wet tarmac. The 125G's dual-purpose tyres are great on broken roads but give less grip on wet, smooth tarmac than street tyres. Slow down in the monsoon.
Security, Lights and Gear for YBR 125G Riders
A YBR 125G is a tempting target for thieves and costs more to replace than a CG. Your protection is also up to you:
- Lock it every time. The YBR has a front disc, so a disc lock works, and a shackle lock through the rear wheel adds a second layer. The REGO Racing Motorcycle Shackle Lock (Rs 2,500) is in our locks and security range, and our bike lock and anti-theft guide explains how to layer them.
- Lights: the stock headlight is a 12V 35W/35W halogen. Before swapping to an LED bulb, read our bike LED light price guide: extra electrical load and aftermarket wiring are not covered by Yamaha's warranty. See lights and indicators.
- Helmet: a full-face helmet is the best protection. The Vector VT-254 Prime Modular Helmet (Rs 11,500, stated DOT) is a commuter choice with a chin bar that flips up at a stop and a drop-down sun visor for long rides; the RZ Honeycomb Full Face (Rs 9,000, DOT sticker) matches a black or yellow YBR. Our best helmet for Yamaha YBR 125G guide picks by budget; browse all full-face helmets or read our helmet price guide.
- Navigation: a properly clamped phone holder keeps your phone off your lap. See our mobile holder guide.
- Weather: gloves and a two-piece rain suit for monsoon commutes.

Who Should Buy a Yamaha YBR 125G in 2026?
A used YBR 125G makes sense if:
- You find a clean bike with complete, verified papers and a service record at a fair price (most 2023–2024 bikes are listed at Rs 3.3–4.5 lakh).
- You value a smooth engine with a balancer, a front disc brake, a 13-litre tank and a 5-speed gearbox, and you ride broken roads where the 125G's tyres and suspension help.
- You live in or near a city with an active Yamaha dealer or an experienced Yamaha mechanic.
Look elsewhere if:
- You want a new bike with full manufacturer backing and a genuine zero-markup plan. A Suzuki GSX 125 or a Honda CG 125S fits that better.
- You live far from a big city and need body or electrical parts quickly.
- Your budget is tight. A CG 125 costs about half the YBR's last price and parts are cheap everywhere.
Quick Buyer's Checklist
- Know the reference prices: Rs 490,500 / Rs 493,500 was the last official new price (July 2025). Rs 485,000 was the June 2025 price.
- For a "new" bike, ask for the invoice date and who will honour the warranty.
- For a used bike, match chassis and engine numbers, verify the registration, check token tax.
- Cold-start it, listen for rattles, check for smoke and test the clutch.
- Check the disc brake, chain kit, tyres, forks and all electrics.
- Deduct the cost of anything that needs replacing from your offer.
- Budget for a first service: oil (1 L, JASO MA), chain lube and a tyre-pressure check (25/29 psi).
- Ride home in a proper helmet, and lock the bike every time you park.
How We Researched This
We compiled this guide on 3 October 2026 from:
- Yamaha Motor Pakistan's own documents: the 9 September 2025 discontinuation letter, the YBR125G and YBR125 specification pages, the September 2024 YBR125G flyer, the maintenance schedule, the warranty policy rules and the Yamalube Plus article. The live site did not load on 3 October 2026, so we read these from Internet Archive copies made between 2024 and 2025.
- Price reports: ProPakistani (July 2025), TechJuice, Pakistan Observer (June 2025), PK Revenue and PriceOye.
- Exit coverage: ProPakistani, Profit, Daily Pakistan and PakWheels.
- PakWheels data: spec pages for the YBR 125G, YBR 125, YBR 150 and GSX 125; the Yamaha model list; owner reviews; used listings (checked 3 October 2026); and the CG 125 vs YBR 125 comparison.
- Financing: Daily Magazine, Pakistan Observer and ProPakistani (GSX 125 plan).
- Oil specification: the export-edition YBR125 owner's manual specifications, plus Bike Markaz's current product data.
Limits of this guide: Yamaha Pakistan never published power, torque, top speed or a km/l figure for the YBR 125G, so those come from PakWheels and owners. We could not confirm any official price for the Metallic Yellow separately, any clearance price after September 2025, whether the January 2025 "zero markup" plans really had no markup, the bank behind them, or the oil grades printed in the Pakistani owner's manual. Used prices are asking prices on one website on one day.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Yamaha YBR 125G price in Pakistan in 2026?
There is no new 2026 factory price, because Yamaha Motor Pakistan stopped manufacturing motorcycles in September 2025. The last official price, effective 1 July 2025, was Rs 490,500 for the Metallic Black YBR 125G and Rs 493,500 for the Matt finish. Used 2023–2024 bikes were listed at about Rs 3.3 to 4.5 lakh on PakWheels in October 2026.
Why do some websites show the YBR 125G at Rs 485,000?
Rs 485,000 was the YBR 125G price in June 2025, before Yamaha raised prices on 1 July 2025 after the federal budget added an NEV levy. Several price websites never updated after that. The last official figures were Rs 490,500 (Metallic) and Rs 493,500 (Matt).
Has Yamaha stopped selling bikes in Pakistan?
Yes. On 9 September 2025, Yamaha Motor Pakistan announced it would discontinue motorcycle manufacturing because of a change in business policy. It said spare parts would still be supplied through authorised dealers and that warranty services would continue under the existing scheme.
What is the Yamaha YBR 125 price in Pakistan?
The last official Yamaha YBR 125 price was Rs 471,500 from 1 July 2025 (Rs 466,000 before that). Like the 125G, it is no longer being manufactured, so most buyers now find it on the used market.
What is the fuel average of the Yamaha YBR 125G?
Yamaha Pakistan never published an official figure. PakWheels lists 45 km/l, and owner reviews report about 30 to 50 km/l, mostly 35 to 45. Plan on around 40 km/l in mixed riding. The 13-litre tank gives roughly 450 to 550 km per fill.
Is there a Yamaha YBR 150 in Pakistan?
We found no evidence that Yamaha Motor Pakistan ever sold a YBR 150. Its last line-up was four 125cc bikes: YBR125, YBR125G, YB125Z-DX and YB125Z. The Rs 400,000 figure on some sites is not backed by an official Yamaha Pakistan launch.
Which engine oil is best for the Yamaha YBR 125G?
Yamaha Pakistan specified Yamalube and promoted Yamalube Plus, a semi-synthetic 10W-40 JASO MA2 oil. The YBR125 owner's manual specifications we found list 10W-30 to 20W-50 grades, API SG or higher, JASO MA, 1.0 litre per change. Use a JASO MA or MA2 motorcycle oil, never car oil, and check your own manual.
How often should I service a YBR 125G?
Yamaha's schedule calls for service at 1,000, 3,000, 6,000, 9,000, 12,000, 15,000 and 18,000 km, then every 3,000 km, with an oil change each time. Lube the chain every 500 km, keep tyres at 25 psi front and 29 psi rear, and replace the air filter and spark plug every 12,000 km.
What is the difference between the YBR 125 and the YBR 125G?
They share the same 124cc engine, 5-speed gearbox, 13-litre tank and front disc brake. The 125G is the dual-purpose styled version, with wider block-pattern tyres (3.00-18 front), a double front fender, fork boots, a 785 mm seat and a slightly higher price.
Suzuki GSX 125 vs Yamaha YBR 125: which should I buy?
If you want a new bike with manufacturer backing, the Suzuki GSX 125 (Rs 504,900 on PakWheels) is still sold and had a genuine zero-markup plan in April 2026. A used YBR 125 or 125G in good condition costs much less and is a refined bike, but long-term supply of Yamaha-only parts is less certain since production ended.
Is there a Yamaha YBR 125G installment plan in 2026?
We found no current Yamaha or bank plan for the YBR 125G in 2026. Plans reported in 2025 ran for 36 months, but down payment plus instalments came to about Rs 2.1 to 2.3 lakh more than the cash price. If a dealer offers one, ask for the total amount payable in writing.
