Privacy policy

What Bike Markaz collects when you order, browse or write to us, why, who it is shared with to get your parcel to you, and how to ask us to see, fix or delete it.

The short version

We collect what we need to take your order, deliver it and look after it afterwards, and nothing we do not need. We do not sell your details to anyone. We do not send marketing email unless you asked for it. You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you by sending us one message.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address, what you bought, how you chose to pay and, for bank transfers, the transaction ID you enter.
  • When you create an account: the same details plus a password, which is stored hashed so we cannot read it. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name, email address and profile picture Google shares with us, and nothing else from your Google account.
  • When you write to us: the message, the contact details you gave, the order it relates to, and your IP address and browser, which we keep to stop spam.
  • When you review a product: the name, rating and text you submit, and whether the product was in a delivered order of yours.
  • When you subscribe to the newsletter or ask to be told when an item is back in stock: the email address you gave for that.
  • While you browse: a session cookie that keeps your cart and your sign-in together, and the ordinary server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) any website keeps to run and protect itself. We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used; it records the pages you view, roughly where you are (city level), your device and browser, and how you reached the site, and does not receive your name, phone number, address or order details.

We never see your card number, wallet PIN or one-time code. JazzCash and Easypaisa payments are approved on the provider's own page; we only learn whether the payment succeeded and its reference.

Why we use it

  • To take and deliver your order, tell you where it is, and sort out a return or warranty claim.
  • To send the order emails: confirmation, dispatch, payment received, and the like. These are not marketing and you cannot opt out of them while you have an order with us.
  • To reply when you write to us.
  • To show your review on the product page, under the name you gave.
  • To send the newsletter or a back-in-stock notice, only if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep the shop running and safe: spotting fraud, fixing errors, and seeing which pages are used.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us get your order to you, and only the part of your details each one needs:

  • The courier company carrying your parcel receives your name, phone number and address, so they can deliver and call you.
  • JazzCash or Easypaisa, when you choose to pay through them, handle the payment on their own pages under their own privacy policies.
  • The email service that sends our order and contact emails receives your email address and the content of those emails.
  • Google, when you choose to sign in with Google, under Google’s own privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics, which receives the browsing information described above to give us visit statistics, under Google’s own privacy policy. It is not used for advertising.

We do not sell, rent or trade your details, and we do not give them to advertisers. We would disclose them only if the law required it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them to handle returns, warranty claims and our accounts, which in practice is a few years after the order. An account stays until you ask us to delete it. Contact messages are kept until the matter is closed and then for a reasonable time afterwards in case it comes up again. Newsletter and back-in-stock addresses are removed as soon as you unsubscribe or we have sent the notice.

Your choices and rights

  • Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your account or your details. We will do so unless we still need a record of an open order, a pending refund or a warranty claim, and we will tell you if that is the case.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by messaging us.
  • Ask us to take down a review you wrote.

To do any of these, message us on WhatsApp at +92 317 2037202 or email hello@bikemarkaz.com. We may ask you to confirm the phone number or email address on the order first, so that nobody else can ask about your details in your name.

Cookies

The site uses a session cookie to keep your cart and sign-in together between pages, and a cookie that protects forms against forged submissions. Both are needed for the shop to work and carry no advertising. If you block them, the cart will not remember what you added. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga) to tell one visit from the next; blocking them does not affect the shop.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or who we share it with changes, we update this page and the date at the top. We will not use what we already hold about you for a new purpose without telling you.
