Why Wear a Full Face Helmet in Pakistan?
An open face or half face helmet covers the top, back and sides of your head and leaves your face and chin in the air. In a fall at speed, the chin and face often meet the road. A full face is the only shape that puts a shell there. It also keeps dust, insects, rain and stones off your face on Pakistani roads, which matters on the GT Road and the motorway. And a helmet worn correctly matters more than any other choice: the WHO says correct helmet use can cut the risk of death in a crash by more than six times and the risk of brain injury by up to 74% (WHO).

Is a Full Face Helmet Too Hot for Pakistani Summers?
Warmer than an open face in standing traffic, yes; unwearable, no. What helps:
- Vents that open: look for a chin vent and a crown vent you can slide. The RZ has a chin vent slider; the Super Air shells have a ridged chin vent block.
- Crack the visor: most visors hold one notch open at low speed in traffic.
- Washable or thin layer under it: a cotton balaclava keeps sweat off the liner.

Is a Full Face Helmet With a DOT Sticker Certified?
Not in a way anyone in Pakistan can prove. DOT is the US rule FMVSS No. 218, and the maker certifies its own helmet: a genuine label sits on the outside back of the shell and reads the brand, the model, DOT, FMVSS No. 218 and CERTIFIED, with an inside label giving the maker, size and month and year of manufacture (49 CFR 571.218). The US regulator warns that DOT stickers are also sold on their own and counterfeited (NHTSA).
