Half Face Helmet Price in Pakistan 2026: Half vs Open Face Helmets

Quick answer: The half face helmet price in Pakistan runs from about Rs 2,400 to Rs 5,000 as of October 2026. At Bike Markaz the FM Helmet half helmet with visor costs Rs 2,800 and the BMT cream half face Rs 5,000; other stores list half helmets from Rs 2,499 (Primax) to Rs 4,599 (Icon). None of ours states a certification.
Our open face range sits in the same band, Rs 2,400 to Rs 5,000, and covers the ears and neck as well; see the FM half helmet with visor at Rs 2,800 and the open face shelf.
Prices checked 14 October 2026 on our own listings and the third-party pages named below. They change with stock and imports.
Key takeaways
- Half face (half helmet): a dome that stops above the ears. Lightest, coolest, least protective. Rs 2,400-5,000 in Pakistan.
- Open face (3/4 helmet): comes down over the ears and the back of the neck, usually with a visor. Same price band, noticeably more coverage.
- Neither covers your chin. For highway riding or night riding, buy a full face or a flip-up instead.
- The law in Lahore and Islamabad asks for a helmet on rider and pillion; it does not name a helmet type or a safety standard (Pakistan Safety Council).
- Our pick for city riders: an open face with a visor, such as the FM Helmet 816 at Rs 2,800, over a half helmet at the same price.

Half helmet prices at other sellers

Anything far below Rs 2,000 is usually the thin "topi" shell sold at roadside stalls: thin foam, a weak strap and no visor. It may get you past a checkpost; it will not do much in a fall.
Half Face vs Open Face Helmet: What Is the Difference?

| Half face (half helmet) | Open face (3/4) | Full face | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Covers | Top of the head only | Top, sides, ears and back of the neck | Whole head, face and chin |
| Visor | Sometimes a short or long flip visor | Usually a flip-up visor | Always |
| Weight | Lightest | Light | Heaviest |
| Summer comfort | Coolest | Cool | Warmest |
| Best for | Short, slow trips | City commuting | Highway, night, any speed |
| Price at Bike Markaz | Rs 2,800-5,000 | Rs 2,400-5,000 | Rs 2,800-13,500 |
The difference that matters is the ears and the back of the neck. A half helmet stops above them; an open face covers them for the same price and almost the same weight. That is why, at the same budget, we steer city riders to an open face.
Neither shape protects the chin and jaw, which a fall can put straight onto the road. If any of your riding is on a highway, at night or above about 50 km/h, read our helmet price in Pakistan guide and look at a full face or a flip-up instead.
Is a Half Helmet With a Visor Worth It?
A half helmet without a visor leaves your eyes to the dust, stones and insects. If you buy a half face at all, buy one with a visor:
- The FM half helmet with visor (Rs 2,800) has a long clear visor that flips up on round pivot buttons and comes down past the nose.
- Keep the visor clear. A dark tint is useless after sunset, and many commuters ride home in the dark.
- Check the strap: a buckle that releases under a hard pull is worse than no helmet, because it gives you false confidence.
If you want glare protection without a tinted visor, the FM Twin Shield (Rs 4,500) is an open face with an inner sun visor behind the clear one.
Which Open Face Helmet Should You Buy Instead? (Price and Picks)

- Cheapest that we would still ride in town: the FM 816 open face at Rs 2,800, with a flip-up clear visor and nine colours.
- For glare: the FM Twin Shield at Rs 4,500, the only open face we sell with an inner sun visor.
- For the retro look: the KAIFA or ANEYA retro open faces at Rs 5,000. The BMT cream lid is the same price and shape family, but it has no visor fitted and only a CCC mark.
- For a pillion spare: the plain maroon FM open face at Rs 2,400.
Every one of these is on the open face helmet shelf. None of them states a DOT or ECE certification. What we read on the units photographed for our catalogue: no DOT, ECE, ISI, PS or CCC mark on the FM 816 and the plain maroon FM (only a white "ABS" sticker on the back, and the visor sticker's Size field is left blank), no size label or certification mark on the FM half helmet or the FM Twin Shield, and a CCC mark, China's compulsory certification, as the only mark on the BMT cream lid. What a real DOT label looks like is in our DOT certified helmet guide, and every other mark is explained in the helmet safety standards guide.
Is a Half Face Helmet Legal in Pakistan?
Yes. Section 89-A of the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1969 requires a crash helmet for rider and pillion without naming a type or a standard, and the Pakistan Safety Council notes that the law does not prescribe one (PSC). A national helmet standard was developed in July 2022 and recommended for PSQCA's mandatory list (Pakistan Today), but it is not enforced. Lahore made helmets compulsory for rider and pillion in January 2025 (Dunya News) and Islamabad from July 2025 (Geo News). As of October 2026 the no-helmet fine in Punjab is Rs 2,000 (24 News HD). More city-by-city detail is in our helmet price in Pakistan guide.
The safer reading: a half helmet keeps you legal in most places, but it is the least protection you can buy that still counts as a helmet.
Who Should Buy a Half Face Helmet?
Buy a half face if you ride short distances at low speed in town, you find an open face too hot, and you will actually wear the half helmet every day rather than leave a better one at home.
Buy an open face if you want the same price and comfort with your ears and neck covered. For most city commuters this is the better buy.
Buy a full face or flip-up if you ride on highways, at night, with a pillion over long distances, or on a 150cc bike. Our best helmet for Honda CG 150 and Super Air helmet price guides cover the full face options from Rs 6,000.
Whatever you buy, measure your head first and use our size guide; most of our half and open faces are sold as free size, so ask on WhatsApp if your head is at either end of the range.

FAQs: Half Face Helmet Price in Pakistan
What is the half face helmet price in Pakistan in 2026?
Half face helmets cost about Rs 2,400 to Rs 5,000 in Pakistan in October 2026. At Bike Markaz the FM half helmet with visor is Rs 2,800 and the BMT cream half face is Rs 5,000; shari.pk lists the Primax half face at Rs 2,499 and the Icon half helmet at Rs 4,599.
What is the open face helmet price in Pakistan?
Open face helmets at Bike Markaz cost Rs 2,400 (FM plain maroon) to Rs 5,000 (KAIFA and ANEYA retro), with the FM 816 at Rs 2,800 and the FM Twin Shield with an inner sun visor at Rs 4,500. Vector's own site lists its VT-250 at Rs 5,500.
Is a half face helmet safe?
A half face helmet protects the top of the head only and leaves the ears, neck, face and chin exposed. It is better than no helmet for short, slow trips, but an open face covers more for the same price and a full face is the safe choice for highway and night riding.
What is the difference between a half helmet and an open face helmet?
A half helmet is a dome that stops above the ears. An open face, or 3/4 helmet, comes down over the ears and the back of the neck and usually has a flip-up visor. Neither has a chin bar.
Is a half helmet allowed in Lahore and Islamabad?
Both cities require a helmet for rider and pillion, and the law asks for a crash helmet without naming a type or a standard. A proper half or open face helmet with a fastened strap is the minimum we would ride in; a cap-style shell with no real liner protects very little.
Do the half face helmets at Bike Markaz have DOT certification?
No. None of the half or open face helmets we sell states a DOT or ECE certification; the BMT cream half face carries a CCC mark only. If a certification label matters to you, look at our full face and flip-up helmets with a printed DOT mark.
