Best for: Riders stepping up from a 125 who want a modern 150

The CG 150 is Atlas Honda's retro-styled 150, launched in July 2025 with a modern SOHC engine, a front disc with combined braking and the most ground clearance in Honda's range.

Our verdict

Despite the name, the CG 150 shares little with the CG 125: it has an overhead-cam 149.2cc engine with a balancer, 11.9 PS, 5 gears, self-start and a front disc with CBS. At Rs 459,900 it undercuts the CB 150F by Rs 40,000 and is the strongest Honda option for riders who want 150cc power with classic looks. Its main rival, the Suzuki GS 150, is about Rs 60,000 cheaper but has drum brakes.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Published 11.9 PS and 12.5 Nm, more than any Honda 125
  • Front disc with combined braking system
  • 171 mm ground clearance, the highest in Honda's line-up
  • Smooth SOHC engine with balancer, 5 gears, self-start
  • Rs 40,000 cheaper than the CB 150F

What we don’t

  • Rs 221,400 more than a CG 125
  • Lower fuel economy than a 125 (PakWheels lists about 35 km/l)
  • New model, so body parts are less common than CG 125 parts
  • Dry weight not published by Atlas Honda

Engine and performance

The CG 150 is not a bored-out CG 125. Atlas Honda lists a 149.2cc SOHC engine with a balancer, 57.3 x 57.8 mm bore and stroke, 9.1:1 compression and a 5-speed gearbox, making 8.75 kW (11.9 PS) at 7,500 rpm and 12.5 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Those numbers are clearly stronger than the CG 125, and the balancer and overhead cam should make it smoother at speed.

It is a relaxed highway bike with a pillion rather than a sports bike. It should cruise comfortably where a CG 125 is working hard.

Comfort and handling

It is a big bike for a CG: 2,066 mm long with a 1,316 mm wheelbase, a 773 mm seat and 171 mm of ground clearance, the most in Atlas Honda's range. Suspension travel is 119 mm at the front and 91 mm at the twin rear shocks, far more than the CG 125.

Launch reports confirm a front disc and rear drum with a combined braking system, which applies some front brake when you press the rear pedal. That is a real safety gain over drum-braked 125s and the GS 150.

Fuel economy and running costs

Atlas Honda gives no fuel average. PakWheels lists about 35 km/l, which would mean about 28.6 litres per 1,000 km, roughly Rs 11,200 at September 2026 petrol prices. That is about Rs 2,500 more per 1,000 km than a bike doing 45 km/l.

Atlas Honda's CG150 guide specifies 10W-30 API SL / JASO MA2 oil, 1.0 litre per change, first at 1,000 km and then every 4,000 km. The engine warranty is 3 years or 20,000 km, conditional on genuine oil and dealer servicing.

Features

Self-start with kick back-up, front disc with CBS, alloy wheels and LED headlight per launch reports, plus an 11.4-litre tank. PakWheels lists a gear position indicator and USB charging port, which we have not confirmed with Atlas Honda.

Resale and parts

The CG 150 has only been on sale since July 2025, so there is not yet a long used-price history. The Honda badge and CG name should help resale. Engine service items are available through Atlas Honda dealers, but model-specific body parts will be less common in small towns than CG 125 parts for a few years.

Who should buy it

Buy the CG 150 if you ride long distances, carry a pillion and want proper 150cc power with a front disc. If budget is tight, the GS 150 is about Rs 60,000 cheaper. If you prefer sporty styling and a bigger 13-litre tank, the CB 150F costs Rs 40,000 more.
