Our verdict

The CD 70 is Rs 159,900 (Atlas Honda) and the standard US 70 is Rs 114,000 after United's April 2026 increase. Both are kick-start 4-speed 70s with drum brakes and 2.25-17 / 2.50-17 tyres. United quotes 78cc against Honda's 72cc, but neither maker publishes power.

PakWheels lists 55 km/l for the CD 70 and 50 km/l for the US 70, and Honda's build quality and engine refinement are widely reported to be better. The biggest difference is resale: a used CD 70 holds far more of its price.

If you will sell within a few years, the Honda often costs less in the end. If your budget is fixed at around Rs 1.15 lakh and you will keep the bike long term, the United does the same basic job.

Our pick

Honda CD 70

Its resale value and parts quality usually outweigh the higher purchase price.

Specs side by side

A value is marked only where better is clear-cut — a lower price, more cc, a bigger tank, more claimed km/l, more ground clearance, a higher rating, disc over drum, self start over kick — and only when the gap is big enough for a rider to notice. Differences too small to feel, like a cc or two or a tenth of a rating point, are left unmarked. “—” means the figure is not published.
