Our verdict

The CD 70 (Rs 159,900) has a 72cc engine, 17-inch wheels and weighs 82 kg. The Pridor (Rs 211,900) has a 97.1cc engine, 2.75-18 tyres at both ends, a 798 mm seat, a 1,226 mm wheelbase, 156 mm ground clearance and weighs 96 kg.

On the road the Pridor is clearly better for tall riders, pillions and broken roads. Both are kick start with drum brakes. Neither has an official fuel figure; PakWheels lists 55 km/l for the CD 70 and 45 km/l for the Pridor.

Pick the CD 70 for solo city riding on the lowest cost and the best resale. Pick the Pridor if you are tall or often ride two-up, but note the CG 125 is only Rs 26,600 more again.

Specs side by side

A value is marked only where better is clear-cut — a lower price, more cc, a bigger tank, more claimed km/l, more ground clearance, a higher rating, disc over drum, self start over kick — and only when the gap is big enough for a rider to notice. Differences too small to feel, like a cc or two or a tenth of a rating point, are left unmarked. “—” means the figure is not published.
