Our verdict

The CD 70 is Rs 159,900 from Atlas Honda. Unique's base UD-70 is Rs 121,500 after the Rs 3,000 increase effective 18 July 2025, with dearer Extreme Plus variants running to Rs 147,000 for the self-start alloy-rim version; PakWheels and several price sites still show the pre-increase Rs 118,500. Confirm the current figure with a dealer before you buy.

Both are 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled 70-class bikes with four gears, kick start, drum brakes at both ends and 2.25-17 front and 2.50-17 rear tyres. Beyond that, Unique publishes almost nothing we could verify: we found no official Unique website at all, and its prices reach the public only through dealer circulars reported by the motoring press. The specification blocks on aggregator sites are not a substitute, because they give the UD-70 the same 47.0 x 41.4 mm bore and stroke as the Honda CD 70, which looks copied rather than measured, and at least one lists 11 HP for a 70cc bike, which is not credible. We have left the UD-70's displacement, tank size, weight and ground clearance blank rather than guess at them. Atlas Honda publishes the CD 70's: 72cc OHC, an 8.5-litre tank, 82 kg dry and 136 mm of ground clearance.

Neither maker publishes a fuel average. PakWheels lists about 45 km/l for the UD-70 and puts a run-in, well-maintained CD 70 at about 50-53 km/l with one rider; both are listed figures, not tested ones.

The Rs 38,400 saving is real, and for a buyer who needs the cheapest possible new bike the UD-70 does the job. But the CD 70 is the bike the used market asks for by name, which claws much of that difference back at resale, its parts are on the shelf in every town, and you can at least check its published specifications before you buy. For almost everyone the Honda is the better value over the life of the bike.

Our pick

Honda CD 70

Published specifications, parts everywhere and the strongest resale in Pakistan recover most of the Rs 38,400 difference.

Specs side by side

A value is marked only where better is clear-cut — a lower price, more cc, a bigger tank, more claimed km/l, more ground clearance, a higher rating, disc over drum, self start over kick — and only when the gap is big enough for a rider to notice. Differences too small to feel, like a cc or two or a tenth of a rating point, are left unmarked. “—” means the figure is not published.
