Our verdict

The UD 70 follows the CD 70 template and costs about Rs 38,400 less than the Honda. Unique is a well-known name, especially in Sindh, but it publishes very little technical data, and the specs on listing sites are inconsistent. It is a reasonable budget pick where Unique dealers are strong; elsewhere, United or Road Prince are easier to service and resell.

Engine and performance

We could not find an official Unique specification sheet. Listing sites describe a 70cc-class 4-stroke air-cooled single with a 4-speed gearbox and kick start, but their power figures are implausibly high for a 70, so we have left engine size, power and torque blank rather than repeat them. Expect typical 70cc performance.

Comfort and handling

The UD 70 follows the CD 70 layout, with 17-inch spoke wheels, 2.25-17 front and 2.50-17 rear tyres and drum brakes at both ends. Comfort should be similar to other 70s: easy in the city, cramped for two adults on longer trips.

Fuel economy and running costs

PakWheels lists about 45 km/l. Service parts follow the common CD 70 pattern and are cheap. Unique's dealer and workshop coverage is strongest in Sindh, so check what is available near you before buying.

Variants and price

Unique's July 2025 increase (Rs 3,000 across the 70cc range, effective 18 July) put the base UD-70 at Rs 121,500, the Extreme Plus at Rs 125,000, the Special Edition at Rs 128,500, the alloy-rim Extreme Plus at Rs 135,000 and the self-start at Rs 147,000, as reported by ProPakistani. Many websites still show the older Rs 118,500.

Running costs in rupees

At PakWheels' listed 45 km/l, 1,000 km uses about 22 litres, roughly Rs 8,700 at Rs 391.30 per litre. Unique does not publish a figure we could verify.

Consumables follow the common 70cc pattern and are cheap anywhere. Body panels, tanks and badges are brand-specific, and are easiest to find in Sindh, where Unique's dealer base is strongest.

Resale and who should buy it

Resale is weaker than for a Honda. Buy the UD 70 if Unique has good dealer support in your area and you want to save money upfront. Otherwise United's US 70 costs Rs 7,500 less with a larger national network.
