The Yamaha YBR 125 is discontinued, so its figure is the last official price it sold at, not one you can pay for a new bike. Official price as of 1 July 2025. Prices change often; confirm with the dealer.

Our verdict

On paper the YBR 125 is the better machine: SOHC engine, 5 gears, self-start, front disc and a 13-litre tank, against the CG 125's OHV engine, 4 gears, kick start, drum brakes and 9.2-litre tank. Its last official price was Rs 471,500 (July 2025), nearly double the CG 125's Rs 238,500.

Yamaha Motor Pakistan ended motorcycle manufacturing on 9 September 2025, so a YBR is now mainly a used purchase with uncertain long-term parts and dealer support. The CG 125 is new, under warranty and has the best parts network and resale in its class.

For a new bike, the CG 125 (or the CG 125S if you want self-start and 5 gears) is the clear choice. A clean used YBR 125 at a fair price can still suit a rider who values refinement and braking.

Our pick

Honda CG 125

It is in production with a warranty, costs far less and has unmatched parts and resale.

Specs side by side

A value is marked only where better is clear-cut — a lower price, more cc, a bigger tank, more claimed km/l, more ground clearance, a higher rating, disc over drum, self start over kick — and only when the gap is big enough for a rider to notice. Differences too small to feel, like a cc or two or a tenth of a rating point, are left unmarked. “—” means the figure is not published.

Price & rating
Official price
Rs 238,500
Rs 471,500
The Yamaha YBR 125 is discontinued, so Rs 471,500 is its last official price (1 July 2025), not a price you can pay for a new bike. The two figures are not like for like, so we call no winner on price.
