Last updated: 4 November 2026

Quick answer: As of 2 November 2026, the tanki tapay price in Pakistan for a genuine Atlas Honda CD 70 fuel tank with side covers is about Rs 10,900–12,000, and a genuine Honda 125 (CG 125) tank and side cover set is about Rs 13,500–17,000 for recent model years. A genuine tank on its own runs about Rs 9,000–12,500 for a CG 125 and around Rs 12,000 for a CD 70 Dream. Non-genuine "fancy" sets cost about Rs 6,000–7,500, and a bare painted replacement tank starts at Rs 3,500 for a CD 70 and Rs 4,000 for a CG 125. A Honda CG 150 tank alone is Rs 19,500–20,000.

The model year and colour on your registration book decide which set matches the rest of your bike. Check them before you pay.

Every market price below was seen on the page linked next to it on 2 November 2026. Tank prices change with sheet-metal prices, paint and the new model-year graphics, so treat them as a snapshot. Bike Markaz sells painted replacement tanks for the CD 70 and CG 125 and one GS 150 side cover; we do not sell genuine Atlas Honda sets.

Key takeaways

  • Tanki tapay = tank + tapay. "Tanki" is the fuel tank and "tapay" are the side covers (side panels) under the seat. A "set" usually means both; "tank only" means no side covers.
  • CD 70 tanki tapay price: genuine set Rs 10,900–12,000; genuine-tank listings in old model-year designs Rs 8,000–12,500; bare painted copy tank Rs 3,500.
  • Honda 125 tanki tapay price: genuine set Rs 13,500–17,000; genuine tank only Rs 9,000–12,500; fancy set Rs 6,000–7,500; bare copy tank Rs 4,000.
  • CG 150, CB 150F, GS 150 and YBR: CG 150 genuine tank Rs 19,500–20,000 plus a Rs 5,500 side cover set; we did not find GS 150 or YBR 125G tanks priced at the stores we checked.
  • Match the year, not just the colour. Atlas Honda changes the stickers every model year, so a "red CD 70 tank" from 2015 will not look like a 2025 one.

Where these numbers come from: the genuine sets are from Honda Zone's fuel tank and side cover set category and its search results for fuel tanks and side covers; the genuine tank-only figures for the CG 125, CD 70 Dream, Pridor and CB 150F are from MotoParts PK listings such as its CG 125 Self Edition 2020–2021 black tank; the model-year CD 70 and the fancy designs are Clutch and Gear's Genuine CD 70, Genuine CG 125 and Fancy 125 categories, all checked on 2 November 2026. The Bike Markaz figures are our own listed prices.

What a listing does not tell you: most of these pages show a title and a price and nothing else. Honda Zone's set pages say "fuel tank and matching side covers" but do not list a cap, badge or monogram. Clutch and Gear's product pages we opened had no description at all, so whether a Rs 7,500 "design" includes side covers is something you have to ask. Its own "ONLY FUEL TANK" titles at Rs 4,000 suggest the other fancy listings are sets, but that is our reading, not something the pages state.

Genuine vs copy: what you can actually check

Sellers make a lot of claims about tanks. Here is what can be checked, and what cannot:

  • Fit. A genuine Atlas Honda tank is made for the frame it is sold for, and Honda Zone's set pages say the mounting points line up with no modification. A copy is made to the same shape but not to the same tooling. Our own replacement tank listings say plainly that "tank shapes vary slightly between model years," which is why we ask buyers to confirm fitment before ordering. Test-fit a copy on the front rubbers and the rear bolt before any paint or decal work is done.
  • Sheet thickness. No seller we checked publishes a sheet thickness for any tank, genuine or copy, so any number you hear in a shop is unverified. What you can do is press the flat top panel with your thumb: a tank that flexes or "oil-cans" under light pressure has thinner metal or a weaker press, and it will dent more easily in a fall.
  • Paint and decals. Genuine sets carry the factory graphics for one named model year. A copy's paint is only as good as the shop that painted it. Look along the tank in daylight for orange-peel texture, runs at the edges of the decal and dust specks under the clear coat. A decal with a raised edge you can feel with a fingernail has not been clear-coated over and will peel in the sun.
  • Rust lining. This is the hardest to judge. Honda Zone's pages claim the genuine tank resists rust and fuel damage, but no seller publishes how the inside is treated. Shine a phone torch through the filler neck before you buy, new or used: you want clean bare metal or an even coating, not brown flakes, loose scale or a white powdery film at the bottom seam.
  • Price as a signal. A "genuine" Honda 125 tank and side cover set for much less than Rs 13,500 in a recent model year is worth questioning. Ask for the box, the Atlas Honda label and a photo of the underside of the tank where the fuel tap mounts.

Honda 125 Tanki Tapay Price and Colours

The CG 125 is where the price gap between genuine and copy is widest. On 2 November 2026 the honda 125 tanki tapay prices we found were:

Honda 125 tank or set Price Where
Tank + side cover set, 2026 black Rs 17,000 Honda Zone
Tank + side cover set, 2026 blue Rs 15,000 Honda Zone
Tank + side cover set, 2024 red Rs 14,500 Honda Zone
Tank + side cover set, 2021 red Rs 14,000 Honda Zone
Tank + side cover set, 2025 blue / 2020 black / 2019 red Rs 13,500 (2019 red sold out) Honda Zone
Tank only, CG 125 Self Special Edition black or red Rs 11,500 (was Rs 12,500) Honda Zone
Tank only, CG 125 2015 black Rs 9,000 (was Rs 10,500) Honda Zone
Tank only, CG 125 2023–2025 black Rs 11,000 MotoParts PK
Tank only, CG 125 Self Edition 2020–2023 black or red Rs 12,500 MotoParts PK
Tank in older model-year designs (2007–2021) Rs 13,500–22,000 Clutch and Gear "Genuine CG 125"
"Genuine quality" 2026 outfits (fade, red, black) Rs 8,500 (was Rs 9,000–9,500) Clutch and Gear
Fancy designs (Irani, Markhor, Dunhill, matt) Rs 6,000–7,500 Clutch and Gear "Fancy 125"
Bare tank, no side covers Rs 4,000 Clutch and Gear, Bike Markaz
Side cover set only, 2026 blue Rs 4,500 Honda Zone
Genuine tank cap only Rs 1,700 Honda Zone

So the 125 tanki tapay price in genuine parts is roughly Rs 13,500–17,000 for a set from a recent model year, and the side covers alone are about a third of that. If only the tank is damaged, buying the tank alone (Rs 9,000–12,500) and keeping your own side covers is the cheaper route, as long as the colours still match.

Two listings need care. Clutch and Gear's "genuine quality" outfits at Rs 8,500 are not described as Atlas Honda parts; "genuine quality" is a seller's phrase, not a part source. And its older model-year CG 125 tanks at Rs 17,000–22,000 sit in a category it calls "Customized Genuine Fuel Tanks". Our reading is that these are genuine tanks finished in an older year's scheme, not decades-old unused stock, but the listings do not say. Ask before you pay that much.

Colours by year. For the 2027 model, the standard CG 125 comes in red, black and a new silver, which replaced the previous year's blue, while the CG 125S and the Gold come in red and black (see our Honda CG 125 owner's guide, citing PakWheels). The 2026 sets above are black and blue, and the 2024 one is red. A honda 125 fuel tank in "red" from 2021 and one from 2024 carry different stickers, so order by the year, not just the colour.

The Bike Markaz shelf has two painted CG 125-shape tanks: the black CG 125 tank with orange decal and the red CG 125 tank with grey and orange decal, both Rs 4,000 (was Rs 5,500). Both are the flatter, angular CG 125 tank with knee recesses pressed into each side, and both ship as the bare painted tank without a filler cap or badge. Neither decal is matched to an Atlas Honda model year, so they suit a rider who wants a clean replacement or a new look, not one who wants a factory-correct bike.

CD 70 Tanki Tapay Price (Red, Black-Blue, Dream)

The CD 70 tank is the round "teardrop" tank, not the angular CG 125 shape, and the two do not swap. On 2 November 2026 the cd 70 tanki tapay price in Pakistan looked like this:

CD 70 tank or set Price Where
Tank + side cover set, 2025–26 red Rs 12,000 Honda Zone
Tank + side cover set, 2021–22 Rs 12,000 Honda Zone
Tank set with side covers, 2023 red Rs 10,900 Honda Zone
Side cover set only, 2021–22 Rs 4,000 Honda Zone
Side cover set only, CD 70 Dream 2026 black Rs 2,000 Honda Zone
Tank, CD 70 Dream 2020 red Rs 12,000 MotoParts PK
Tanks by model year: 2025 red, black, black and blue; 2005–2019 designs Rs 8,000–10,000 Clutch and Gear "Genuine CD 70"
Tanks, 2020 and 2021 designs Rs 12,500 Clutch and Gear "Genuine CD 70"
Fancy 70 designs (Black Special Edition, "Honda 46" purple and grey) Rs 6,000 Clutch and Gear
Bare painted tank, red or black with blue decal Rs 3,500 (was Rs 4,000) Bike Markaz
Genuine tank cap Rs 1,500 MotoParts PK
Genuine tank monogram set Rs 1,200 MotoParts PK

The honda cd 70 tanki tapay price in genuine parts is therefore about Rs 10,900–12,000 for a recent set. Clutch and Gear lists CD 70 tanks back to a "1997 model" at Rs 9,000; as with its CG 125 listings, the pages do not say whether these include side covers or how they were finished, so confirm on the phone.

Honda 70 tanki tapay colours. The CD 70 has long been sold in red and black, with the stickers changing from year to year. For the 2027 model, PakWheels reported new graphics on the tank and side covers and blue as a newly added colour (see our Honda CD 70 owner's guide). The CD 70 Dream has its own styling and an 8.6-litre tank against the standard bike's 8.5 litres, per Atlas Honda's spec pages, so buy a Dream set for a CD 70 Dream rather than assuming the standard set looks right on it.

70cc bike tanki tapay price for other brands. Many 70cc bikes from other makers copy the CD 70's shape, and our own CD 70 listings say "CD70-style bikes" vary slightly. If you ride a 70cc bike that is not a Honda, take your old tank to the seller or send clear photos of its mounting points before buying any CD 70 tank.

The Bike Markaz shelf has two CD 70 tanks at Rs 3,500 each: the red CD 70 fuel tank with an orange, yellow and light-blue decal, and the black CD 70 fuel tank with blue decal. Both are painted replacement tanks in the CD 70 shape, shipped bare without the Honda badge, and neither is a genuine Atlas Honda part.

CG 150, CB 150F, GS 150 and YBR Tanki Tapay

The bigger bikes have bigger, costlier tanks, and far fewer copies on the market:

  • Honda CG 150: Honda Zone listed the genuine 2025–26 tank at Rs 19,500 (red) and Rs 20,000 (green, down from Rs 21,000), and a matt green side cover set at Rs 5,500, on 2 November 2026. A full genuine CG 150 tanki tapay set therefore comes to roughly Rs 25,000–25,500 if bought as two items. The CG 150 tank holds 11.4 litres and is its own part: it is not the CB 150F's 13-litre tank, a point our Honda CG 150 accessories guide covers in detail. We found no fancy or copy CG 150 tanks at the stores we checked, which is not surprising for a bike launched in July 2025.
  • Honda CB 150F: genuine tanks were Rs 15,500 (MotoParts PK, black or red with white stripes) to Rs 18,000 (Honda Zone, 2023–26 colours), and Honda Zone listed CB 150F side cover sets at Rs 4,000–6,000 and 2018 shroud sets (the panels beside the tank) at Rs 6,500.
  • Honda CB 125F: MotoParts PK listed a 2019 black genuine tank at Rs 17,500.
  • Honda Pridor: MotoParts PK listed 2019 and 2023/2024 black genuine tanks at Rs 12,000.
  • Suzuki GS 150: we did not find a GS 150 tank priced at the stores we checked on 2 November 2026; Suzuki tanks are mostly sold through Suzuki dealers and local markets. Suzuki has changed the GS 150's tank graphics over the years (recent bikes moved from blue to red designs, per press reports), so match by year. Bike Markaz lists a GS 150 side cover in black with blue decal at Rs 1,500; it is an aftermarket panel, and the supplier has not said whether it is the left or right one, so we confirm the side on WhatsApp before dispatch. More on the bike in our Suzuki GS 150 buyer's guide.
  • Yamaha YBR 125 / 125G: we did not find a YBR tank priced online on the day we checked. Yamaha Motor Pakistan stopped making motorcycles in September 2025, so a YBR tank today is either existing dealer stock or used, and prices are by negotiation. Our Yamaha YBR 125G buyer's guide covers parts availability.

125 Tanki Design and Fancy Tanki Tapay for CD 70: Stickers, Decals, Custom Paint

"Design" searches are a big part of this market: people search 125 tanki design and fancy tanki tapay cd 70 as often as they search for a plain price. There are four ways to get a new look:

  1. A genuine set from another model year. The cheapest "custom" look that still fits perfectly. A 2026 blue CG 125 set (Rs 15,000) on a 2019 bike changes the look completely, and the parts are factory fit. The catch is the rest of the bike: mudguards, headlight cowl and chain cover stay in the old colour, which is fine on black but obvious on red or blue.
  2. A fancy set. Clutch and Gear's Fancy 125 shelf on 2 November 2026 had Irani designs, Markhor, Dunhill purple and smoke, Nardo grey, sea green, navy blue and matt silver and black at Rs 6,000–7,500, and its fancy CD 70 designs were Rs 6,000. These are not Atlas Honda parts. Judge them on paint, decal finish and fit as described above.
  3. Stickers or a decal kit on your own tank. If your tank is straight and rust-free, new decals are the cheapest route. Wash the tank with soapy water, dry it, take off the old stickers with gentle heat from a hair dryer, clean the glue with a little petrol on a cloth (away from flame, and wipe dry), and apply the new decal starting from the middle outwards to push out bubbles.
  4. Custom paint at a body shop. Prices depend entirely on the painter, the paint and the design, and we have not found a published rate we could quote. Ask for a written price that includes stripping the old paint, filler for any dents, the base coat, the design and a clear coat, and ask how long they will let the paint cure before you fill the tank.

A word on bike tanki tapay design cd 70 jobs that change the colour: your registration book records the bike's colour. We have not verified how strictly a full colour change is checked in each province, so if you repaint a whole bike a different colour, ask your excise office whether the record needs updating.

Bike Fuel Tank Price: Tank Only vs Tank With Tapay

Rounded Honda CD 70 teardrop fuel tank beside the flatter, angular Honda CG 125 fuel tank on a workshop bench in daylight, showing the two tanki tapay shapes

When you search bike fuel tank or petrol tank price, you will see three kinds of listing at very different prices. Know which one you are looking at:

Listing type What's in it CD 70 price CG 125 price
Bare painted tank (copy) Tank only, painted, usually no cap, badge or fuel tap Rs 3,500 Rs 4,000
Genuine tank only Atlas Honda tank, factory paint and decals Rs 8,000–12,500 (model-year listings) Rs 9,000–12,500
Genuine tanki tapay set Tank + left and right side covers Rs 10,900–12,000 Rs 13,500–17,000
Side covers only Left and right tapay Rs 2,000–4,000 Rs 4,500 (chrome Rs 6,000)

Which one should you buy?

  • Only the tank is dented or rusted, and the side covers are fine: buy the tank only, in the same model year and colour.
  • The bike fell and both the tank and a side cover are damaged: buy the set. Two separate parts cost about the same or more, and a set is painted to match.
  • You want a new look on a budget: a bare painted tank, a fancy set or new stickers.
  • You are restoring the bike for resale: genuine parts in the original year's colour. A buyer checking a used bike notices a mismatched tank.

Do not forget the small parts. A bare tank needs your old fuel cap (genuine CG 125 cap Rs 1,700 at Honda Zone; CD 70 cap Rs 1,500 at MotoParts PK), the fuel tap (petrol cock) from under the old tank, the badges or monogram (CD 70 monogram set Rs 1,200 at MotoParts PK), the rubber cushions it sits on, and the fuel pipe if yours is cracked. Budget Rs 1,500–3,000 more if any of these are missing or worn out.

How to Fit a Fuel Tank and Tapay at Home

Mechanic lifting a red fuel tank onto a Honda CG 125 frame with the seat removed in a bright workshop, illustrating how to fit a bike fuel tank

A tank swap on a CD 70 or CG 125 is a simple job if you have done basic work on a bike before; if not, a mechanic will do it quickly. Work outdoors, in daylight, with the engine cold and nothing that can spark nearby. The steps are general; your bike's layout may differ slightly.

  1. Turn the fuel tap off and run the bike until it stops, or drain the tank into a clean, sealed petrol can through the fuel pipe.
  2. Remove the seat to reach the tank's rear mounting bolt.
  3. Pull the fuel pipe off the tap with a rag underneath to catch the last drops.
  4. Undo the rear bolt and lift the back of the tank, then slide the tank backwards off its front rubber cushions.
  5. Move the fuel tap to the new tank. Fit a new tap washer or O-ring rather than reusing a hardened one; this is the most common source of a leak after a tank change. Do not over-tighten into new paint.
  6. Check the front cushions and rear rubber. Hard or split rubbers let the tank vibrate, which cracks paint and can wear a hole where the tank touches the frame.
  7. Slide the new tank onto the front cushions, lower the back, fit the rear bolt without pinching any wires or cables underneath, and reconnect the fuel pipe.
  8. Pour in a litre of petrol and check for leaks at the tap and under the tank before you fill it. Then turn the tap on and check again with the engine running.
  9. Side covers (tapay) mostly push onto rubber grommets or clip in place, with a screw on some models. Line up the pegs and press firmly; never force a cover that does not line up, or the pegs snap.
  10. Refit the cap, badges and seat, and ride a short distance to make sure the tank does not rattle.

If the new tank does not sit straight on the cushions without force, or the rear bolt hole does not line up, stop and contact the seller. Bending brackets to make a copy tank fit voids any return.

Tank Rust, Leaks and Petrol Lock

Rust. Rust inside a tank usually starts where water collects, at the bottom seam. Water comes from condensation in a half-empty tank, a cracked cap seal and washing a bike with the cap loose. To slow it:

  • Keep the tank more full than empty if the bike will stand for weeks, so there is less air to condense.
  • Check the cap seal each time you fill up. A flattened or cracked rubber seal lets in water during washing and the monsoon.
  • Do not hose the filler area when washing the bike, and cover the bike during heavy rain. A good cover helps; see our bike cover price guide.
  • Watch for rust in the fuel. Brown flakes in the fuel pipe or a choking carburettor are signs the inside of the tank is rusting. Clean or replace the tank and clean the tap filter and carburettor too, or the rust will block them again.

Rust-treatment and tank-lining kits exist, but we have not tested any and cannot say how long they last in Pakistani petrol and heat. A badly rusted tank on a 70cc or 125cc bike is usually cheaper to replace than to treat, given the prices above.

Leaks. A wet patch under the tank is usually the fuel tap washer, a cracked fuel pipe or a pinhole at a rusted seam. Smell for petrol after parking. A leaking tank is a fire risk: do not ride it, and never try to weld or solder a tank that has held petrol. That needs a specialist who will clean out the fuel vapour first.

Petrol lock (tank lock and cap). A locking fuel cap stops petrol being siphoned out of a parked bike. Genuine caps cost Rs 1,500–1,700 at the stores above and usually come keyed to their own key, not your ignition key. If you lose the cap key, a locksmith or bike mechanic can usually open it, but expect to replace the cap. Also clear the cap's breather hole: a blocked breather makes the bike lose power and stall after a few minutes, because fuel cannot flow without air coming in.

How to Order the Right Tanki Tapay Colour by Model Year

Ordering a tank online without seeing it is where most mistakes happen. This is the routine we suggest, whoever you buy from:

  1. Read your registration book for the model and year (for example "CG 125, 2021") and the colour.
  2. Photograph both sides of your tank and both side covers in daylight, with the decals clearly visible.
  3. Compare the seller's photo with yours, not just the title. "Red" covers several reds and several sticker designs.
  4. Ask exactly what is in the box: tank only or tank and both side covers; cap, badge, fuel tap, cushions or none.
  5. Ask if it is genuine Atlas Honda and whether it comes in Atlas Honda packaging. "Genuine quality" and "original sticker" are not the same thing.
  6. Ask about returns for wrong fit and who pays the courier, before you order.
  7. On delivery, check for dents and scratches before you sign, and test-fit before you fill it with petrol.

If your sun-faded side covers stay on the bike, a new tank will look brighter than they do. That is normal, and the main reason a full set is often worth the difference.

How We Researched This Guide

  • Prices: checked on 2 November 2026 at Honda Zone (fuel tank and side cover set category, fuel tank and side cover searches, individual set pages), MotoParts PK (fuel tank and CD 70 tank searches, CG 125 tank page) and Clutch and Gear (Genuine CD 70, Genuine CG 125 and Fancy 125 categories and three product pages), linked above. Daraz's tanki tapay search did not show products to us that day, and the Imtiaz Bikerz Studio and Tankitapa listings either did not load or showed "ask price", so they are not in the tables.
  • Our own prices are the prices listed on Bike Markaz on the same day.
  • Tank capacities and model facts come from the manufacturers' spec pages as recorded on our bike pages, and from the PakWheels reports cited in our CD 70 and CG 125 guides.
  • What we did not do: we did not measure sheet thickness, test paint durability or test any rust treatment. Where a seller's page made a claim, we say it is the seller's claim.

FAQs: Tanki Tapay Price in Pakistan

What is the tanki tapay price in Pakistan?

As of 2 November 2026, a genuine Atlas Honda CD 70 tank and side cover set costs about Rs 10,900 to Rs 12,000, and a genuine Honda 125 set about Rs 13,500 to Rs 17,000. Fancy non-genuine sets cost about Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,500, and a bare painted replacement tank starts at Rs 3,500 for a CD 70 and Rs 4,000 for a CG 125.

What does tanki tapay mean?

Tanki is the fuel tank, and tapay are the side covers (side panels) below the seat on each side. A tanki tapay set is the tank plus both side covers, usually painted and stickered to match.

What is the Honda 125 tanki tapay price?

Honda Zone listed genuine CG 125 tank and side cover sets at Rs 13,500 to Rs 17,000 on 2 November 2026, depending on model year and colour. A genuine tank alone was Rs 9,000 to Rs 12,500, side covers alone about Rs 4,500, and fancy non-genuine sets Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,500.

What is the CD 70 tanki tapay price in Pakistan?

A genuine Atlas Honda CD 70 tank with side covers was Rs 10,900 to Rs 12,000 at Honda Zone on 2 November 2026. Model-year CD 70 tanks were Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,500 at Clutch and Gear, fancy CD 70 designs Rs 6,000, and a bare painted replacement tank Rs 3,500 at Bike Markaz.

Does a CD 70 tank fit a CG 125?

No. The CD 70 has a rounded teardrop tank and the CG 125 a flatter, angular tank with knee recesses, and their mountings are different. Buy the tank named for your bike, and confirm the model year with the seller.

Is a genuine tank worth the extra money over a copy?

A genuine tank is made for the frame and comes in the factory colours for a named year, so it fits without changes and matches the bike. A copy costs a third or less and can be fine for a work bike if it fits without force, the paint is smooth and the inside is clean. Check fit, paint and the inside before you fill it.

What is the price of a Honda CG 150 fuel tank?

Honda Zone listed the genuine 2025-26 CG 150 tank at Rs 19,500 in red and Rs 20,000 in green on 2 November 2026, and a matt green CG 150 side cover set at Rs 5,500. The CG 150 tank is different from the CB 150F's.

How do I stop my bike's petrol tank from rusting?

Keep the tank more full than empty if the bike stands for weeks, replace a cracked cap seal, do not hose the filler area when washing, and cover the bike in heavy rain. Brown flakes in the fuel pipe mean the inside is rusting; clean or replace the tank and clean the tap and carburettor.

Can I fit a fuel tank at home?

Yes, on a CD 70 or CG 125 if you have done basic bike work. Drain the fuel outdoors with the engine cold, remove the seat, disconnect the fuel pipe, undo the rear bolt, slide the tank off its front cushions, move the fuel tap with a new washer, refit, and check for leaks with a litre of petrol before filling.
