Suzuki GD 110S Price in Pakistan, Specs, Fuel Tank & Review

3.1/5

Best for: Comfort-first commuters who want self-start

The GD 110S is Suzuki's comfortable, self-start 113cc commuter, but at Rs 369,900 it costs far more than Honda's 125s.

Our verdict

The GD 110S rides well, starts on a button and comes in more colours than most rivals. The problem is the price: Rs 369,900 is Rs 131,400 more than a CG 125 and Rs 83,000 more than the self-start CG 125S, for a smaller 113cc engine, 4 gears and drum brakes. Buy it if you specifically want a soft-riding Suzuki commuter or a 0% markup plan suits you; otherwise Honda's 125s are better value.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Self-start with kick back-up
  • Comfortable seat and 5-way adjustable rear shocks
  • Alloy wheels and four colour choices
  • Light and easy in city traffic
  • Pak Suzuki has offered 0% markup instalment plans

What we don’t

  • Costs more than a CG 125S with a smaller engine
  • Drum brakes front and rear
  • Only 4 gears
  • Weaker resale and fewer mechanics than Honda

Engine and performance

Pak Suzuki's brochure lists a 113cc SOHC air-cooled engine (51.0 x 55.2 mm, 9.5:1 compression) with a carburettor, CDI ignition and a 4-speed all-down gearbox. Power and torque are not published; PakWheels lists 8 hp, unconfirmed.

It is a city and short-highway commuter. It handles a pillion better than a 70 but is not a match for a 125 on open roads.

Comfort and handling

Comfort is the GD 110S's strength. Suzuki lists a 766 mm seat, a 1,215 mm wheelbase, 140 mm ground clearance and rear shocks with 5-way preload adjustment, so you can stiffen them for a pillion. The brochure gives a 108 kg curb mass, which includes fluids, so it is not directly comparable with dry weights.

Brakes are drums at both ends on 17-inch alloy wheels with 2.50-17 and 2.75-17 tyres.

Fuel economy and running costs

No official fuel average. PakWheels lists about 45 km/l, which is about 22 litres per 1,000 km. The engine takes 1,110 ml of oil at overhaul. Suzuki dealers are fewer than Honda's, and outside big cities some parts may need ordering.

Features

Self-start, alloy wheels, a windscreen-style headlight cowl, adjustable rear shocks and four colours: Metallic Silk Red, Metallic Jade Royal, Pearl Pearlescent Black and Metallic Camel Grey. That is more equipment than a CG 125, but no disc brake.

Price and value

The GD 110S's price is its biggest problem. At Rs 369,900 it sits above the CG 125S (Rs 286,900) and not far below the GS 150 (Rs 399,900), which has a 150cc engine and 5 gears for Rs 30,000 more.

Pak Suzuki has offered 0% markup instalment plans on the GD 110S, reported at around Rs 10,300 to Rs 11,600 a month depending on the plan. If you would otherwise pay bank markup on a Honda, work out the total cost of each option before deciding.

Resale and who should buy it

Resale is weaker than Honda's 125s, because used buyers compare it with the cheaper CG 125. Buy the GD 110S if comfort and a self-start matter more than power or resale, or if a 0% markup plan makes it affordable for you. If you pay cash, the CG 125S gives you self-start, 5 gears and a bigger engine for Rs 83,000 less.
