Best Helmet for Honda CD 70 in Pakistan (2026): Rider and Pillion Picks

Quick answer: The best helmet for a Honda CD 70 is a full face that fits, even for slow city trips. On a budget the Axxis Army Green and TCEH 02 full face helmets cost Rs 2,500, less than an FM 816 open face (Rs 2,800). For Rs 8,500-9,500, the BSDDP Blue Chain and LEO by Penguin PG 107 add a DOT sticker. Buy the pillion a helmet too.
In between, the Super Air full face (Rs 6,000) is better finished but carries no certification sticker. Lahore and Islamabad require a helmet for rider and pillion.

Key takeaways
- The CD 70 is a 72cc city bike (top speed about 85 km/h by PakWheels' figure), but city crashes still put the chin on the road first.
- Rs 2,400-5,000: FM open faces, the Axxis, TCEH 02 and 815 full faces, the FM Twin Shield and the KAIFA retro. None of them carries a certification label.
- Rs 6,000-9,500: Super Air full face, Penguin flip-up, BSDDP and LEO PG 107; the last two carry a DOT FMVSS No. 218 sticker.
- Atlas Honda helmet: PakWheels put Honda-branded helmets at Rs 2,250-4,400 in June 2025. We do not sell Honda helmets.
- Rider and pillion need a helmet in Lahore (January 2025) and Islamabad (July 2025); the Punjab fine is Rs 2,000.
Written by Rooh Ullah of Bike Markaz: we sell motorcycle helmets, gear, parts and oils online with courier delivery across Pakistan, cash on delivery and a seven-day size exchange. We do not sell motorcycles or Honda-branded helmets. Every helmet named with a price below is one we sell, so we have a commercial interest; where a helmet has no certification label, we say so.
Does a CD 70 Rider Need a Full Face Helmet?
The Honda CD 70 costs Rs 159,900 on Atlas Honda's website (our Honda CD 70 price in Pakistan guide has the full details). It is light, slow and mostly ridden in the city, often with a pillion on board.
That makes two things true at once. An open face is cooler in a Karachi or Lahore summer and easier to live with in traffic, which is why open faces are popular on 70cc commuters. But low speed does not protect your face: in a fall from a commuter bike, the chin and jaw are often what hits first. So our honest advice is:
- Best: a full face, even a budget one.
- Acceptable for short, slow trips: an open face with the visor down.
- Avoid: the thin half face "topi" sold at the roadside for Rs 700-1,500.

Under Rs 3,000: pick the chin bar
The Axxis army green and the TCEH 02 full face helmets at Rs 2,500 cost less than the FM 816 open face at Rs 2,800, and the 815 full face at Rs 2,800 costs exactly the same. If the budget is fixed, take the chin bar. None of them states a DOT, ECE or PS certification, so treat them as city helmets for slow riding.
Rs 6,000 to 9,500: the upgrade worth making
The Super Air full face at Rs 6,000 is better finished, with a ridged chin vent and a red rear reflector, but it has no certification sticker. For a printed DOT label, the BSDDP Blue Chain at Rs 8,500 (one free size) and the LEO by Penguin PG 107 at Rs 9,500 are the two we would choose. On the units photographed for our catalogue, the LEO's rear sticker reads PENGUIN / PG 107 / DOT / FMVSS No. 218 / CERTIFIED, and the Super Air full face's rear is bare. A DOT sticker is the maker's own claim, not a test we ran; our helmet safety standards guide explains what it does and does not prove. Compare all of them on our full face helmet price in Pakistan page, or see flip-ups under modular helmets.
If you still want an open face
Choose one with a full-length visor and keep it down: the FM 816 or the FM Twin Shield at Rs 4,500, which adds a drop-down sun visor. Every open face we sell is on the open face helmet price in Pakistan page, and our half face helmet price in Pakistan guide explains the trade-offs.
Atlas Honda Helmet Price in Pakistan: Is the Honda Helmet Enough?
Here is what we could verify about the "Honda helmet" on 15 October 2026:
- Price: PakWheels' helmet brands article (30 June 2025) gave the Honda helmet price in Pakistan as Rs 2,250 to Rs 4,400. We found no current helmet price list on Atlas Honda's own website.
- Certification: that article does not say the Honda helmets carry a DOT or ECE label. Check the shell and the inside label of the exact helmet before you trust it.
- Free helmet offers: a helmet is sometimes bundled with a CD 70 on finance. Pakistan Observer (3 February 2026) reported a Faysal Bank installment plan that included a free helmet, without naming the brand. That was a bank offer for a limited time, not a standard Atlas Honda inclusion; ask your dealer or bank what, if anything, comes with your bike.
Bike Markaz does not sell Honda-branded helmets. A dealer or bundled helmet beats no helmet, but at Rs 2,250-4,400 it sits in the same band as our budget helmets, where the Axxis and TCEH 02 full face helmets (Rs 2,500) add a chin bar for less. Dealer prices for the Helmex and Partner are in our Honda helmet price in Pakistan guide.
Does the Pillion Need a Helmet?
Yes, and on a family bike like the CD 70 this matters most. The law itself covers the pillion: section 89-A of the Provincial Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1969 forbids riding the pillion seat without a crash helmet (Pakistan Safety Council). Lahore made helmets mandatory for rider and pillion in January 2025 (Dunya News), Islamabad did the same for riders and pillions, men and women, from July 2025 (Geo News), and as of October 2026 the Punjab no-helmet challan is Rs 2,000, unchanged in the May 2026 fine revision (24 News HD). City-by-city detail is in our helmet price in Pakistan guide.
Buy the pillion a helmet that fits them; a Rs 2,400 open face costs about the same as one challan.
What Helmet Size Should I Buy, and What Does Delivery Cost?
Measure around the head about 2 cm above the eyebrows and over the widest part at the back, twice, and keep the larger number: 57-58 cm is usually M, 59-60 cm L, 61-62 cm XL. Several budget open faces (the FM 816 Olive Green, YXYT, KAIFA, ANEYA and BMT) come in one adjustable free size; the size guide has the full chart. Size letters are not the same across brands: on the units photographed for our catalogue, an M reads 57-58 cm on the LEO PG 107 but 55-57 cm on the Penguin chain modular, so order by centimetres and send the number on WhatsApp if you are unsure.
One helmet is counted as 1.5 kg, so delivery is about Rs 357 to Islamabad and Rawalpindi and Rs 420 to Karachi, Lahore and other major cities; the exact fee shows at checkout. Cash on delivery needs no advance, and a wrong size is swapped free within seven days if the helmet is unused with the visor film on (shipping and returns).
